MY MISSION
I work with individuals and couples in San Diego who want their life to feel vibrant again.
Real change begins when you’re willing to try something different - even if you’re currently feeling stuck, afraid or unsure about the next step. In therapy, I aim to create a safe and non-judgemental environment where you can explore yourself or your relationship with real honesty and self-compassion.
Over time, I want you to feel so confident, grounded and resilient that you don’t need therapy anymore. Achieving that kind of lasting change isn’t always easy but I truly believe that it’s possible if you are ready, open-minded and willing to do the work.

ABOUT ME
Hi, I’m Dana Sockolov - a licensed therapist in San Diego bringing light, warmth and color into dark and difficult places.
My relationship with therapy began long before my career as a therapist did. At a young age, therapy helped me move through some difficult experiences, slowly bringing back light and color into areas of my life that had felt muted for a long time. That lived experience is why I became a therapist and why I’m so passionate about helping others rediscover their own light today.
My practice is rooted in simple but important values: do no harm, stay curious, treat everyone with respect and welcome all people. I believe in creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where you never have to do anything I wouldn't do myself. When I’m not in the therapy room, I’m usually with my two young boys or spending time outdoors in sunny San Diego.
